Position: LMR Technician

Location:

Denver, CO

Travel: 50% Conus Travel

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, program, maintain, and repair Motorola, Bendix King, and Icom radio equipment
• Install and de-install radio systems in vehicles, dispatch centers, and repeater/tower sites
• Support portable, mobile, base station, and repeater communications systems
• Resolve Tier II and Tier III support incidents within established service level agreements
• Provide field remediation support and backup assistance to a 24/7/365 help desk operation
• Program government-approved code plugs, fleet maps, frequency plans, and talk groups
• Perform system integration testing, final inspections, and acceptance validation activities
• Deploy on short notice for emergency response operations, temporary repeater installations, and special event support
• Document work performed, materials used, travel, and maintenance activities using standard reporting procedures
• Ensure compliance with Motorola R56 standards, OSHA regulations, and ANSI safety requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing LMR systems
• Manufacturer certification supporting Motorola, Bendix King, and Icom radio equipment
• Working knowledge of APCO P25 communications systems
• Experience supporting conventional and trunked radio systems
• Proficiency with radio programming software and system configuration tools
• Hands-on experience using RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, watt meters, and antenna sweep tools such as Anritsu equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field
• FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL)
• Motorola R56 training and certification
• Prior federal, public-safety, or Indian Country field experience a plus

Work Environment

• Field-based role supporting mission-critical public safety communication networks
• Frequent travel and deployment to customer locations throughout the United States
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced operational environments
• Participation in emergency response and after-hours support activities when required
