Role Description The Fill-in Electrical Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Denver, CO. This role is responsible for conducting inspections of electrical installations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing plans and specifications, inspecting new and existing electrical systems, documenting findings, and issuing reports that identify deficiencies and required corrective actions.
The inspector collaborates with contractors, engineers, and project managers to clarify code requirements, promote electrical safety, and support timely project completion. The role may also involve participating in quality control reviews, attending coordination meetings, and staying current with changes in electrical codes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles for evaluating system design and performance.
- Candidates should possess skills in electrical safety and quality control to identify hazards, ensure safe work practices, and verify installation integrity.
- Candidates should possess experience in code enforcement, including applying local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and documentation skills to write clear inspection reports and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., journeyman/master electrician, ICC or equivalent inspector certification) are highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in electrical inspection, electrical construction, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in electrical systems or engineering is an advantage.
