Successful candidates understand industry installation standards and take pride in delivering clean, accurate, and professional installations.

  • Read rack elevations, cable schedules, floor plans, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Install, inspect, clean, and test fiber optic cabling and connectivity
  • Support equipment integrations, migrations, cutovers, equipment replacements, and decommissioning activities
  • Troubleshoot installation, labeling, cabling, and connectivity issues
  • Complete daily reports, testing documentation, redlines, and project closeout documentation

Follow customer standards, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), change-control processes, and TACI safety policies
  • Protect live equipment, active circuits, and mission‑critical customer infrastructure
Required Qualifications
  • Experience working in an ISP, Central Office, Cable Headend, Enterprise Network, Data Center, or similar telecommunications environment
  • Experience installing racks, cabinets, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and cable‑management infrastructure
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, rack elevations, cable schedules, and installation documentation
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, ladders, PPE, and testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel between 25% and 85% based on project requirements
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, maintenance windows, and extended shifts when required

  • Experience using OTDRs, Optical Power Meters, Copper Testers, Visual Fault Locators, or Multimeters
  • Knowledge of DC Power, Grounding, and Bonding Systems
  • Experience supporting network migrations, equipment turn‑ups, and cutovers
  • BICSI, FOA, OSHA, OEM, or other industry certifications
  • Experience leading installation teams or serving as a Site Lead
  • Knowledge of Telcordia Standards including GR-1275-CORE
