Job Description:

Summary

Harris is seeking a BA Installation Specialist II to help install the electrical wiring and controls that support reliable, high-performing building systems. In this hands‑on role, you will turn project plans into safe, complete installations while building your technical knowledge and helping less-experienced team members grow.

Role Overview

Install, route, connect, and test wiring and electrical components for engineered building automation and control systems. Work with project plans, specifications, blueprints, and field partners to complete installations that meet code, safety, and quality expectations. Use electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to troubleshoot and verify system performance. Contribute to a safety-focused team while continuing to develop product knowledge and mentoring entry‑level installation specialists.

What

You’ll Do

You’ll spend your day working from project drawings and job specifications to plan wiring routes, install conduit and cable, connect controls components, and test circuits for safe and reliable operation. You’ll partner with project leadership to understand the system design, coordinate materials, and resolve field issues as they arise. Your work will include both hands‑on installation and the documentation needed to move projects toward successful completion.

Install and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, conduit, tubing, cable, and related controls equipment. Test circuits and components using multimeters, digital analyzers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and similar equipment. Review blueprints, schematics, specifications, submittals, and product manuals to determine installation requirements. Support accurate as‑built documentation, labor reporting, expense reporting, and material requests. Keep tools and assigned equipment in good condition, communicate job status, and help train BA Installation Specialist I team members.

Why

This Role Matters

Your work helps building automation systems operate safely, reliably, and as designed. You’ll directly support project quality by turning engineered plans into complete field installations. You’ll contribute to a team culture centered on safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. You’ll have opportunities to expand your controls, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting knowledge while helping others develop.
