Bucket Truck – Lighting Technician (FT)

Compensation: $23-$29/hour based on experience.

Skills & Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of lighting/electrical experience.
  • 1-2 years minimum of bucket truck experience.
  • Lighting service experience (lamp and ballast) is a bonus.
  • Bucket truck operation experience is a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Customer advocacy skills.
  • Computer and typing skills.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, time‑management, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Technical knowledge, multi‑tasking ability, and strong written and oral communication.

Physical Requirements

Electricians in the field must possess high physical stamina, strength, and agility, typically requiring the ability for overhead lifting, up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Daily tasks involve bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling for extended periods while utilizing fine motor skills for wiring.

  • Strength & Stamina – lifting, pulling, and pushing materials (conduit cable) up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual Dexterity – excellent hand‑eye coordination for delicate wiring and handling small objects.
  • Mobility & Balance – climbing ladders, scaffolding, and poles, including crawling in tight spaces like crawl spaces or attics.
  • Visual Acuity & Color Vision – ability to distinguish color‑coded wires.
  • Endurance – standing or kneeling for long durations and working in varied, often uncomfortable, weather conditions.
