Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician

Yellowstone Local is partnering with a leading home-service contractor to hire a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and other commercial refrigeration equipment for restaurants, retail, and service-based clients. You'll perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. Expect daily field work, clear communication with customers, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a supportive, growth-focused team committed to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize system performance and reduce downtime
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues safely and efficiently
• Recover, charge, and handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and maintenance needs
• Coordinate with dispatch and team members to manage daily schedules and priorities
• Follow all safety, company, and industry standards on every job
• Support a service-minded, professional brand experience for all clients
