HVAC Maintenance Technician

Tipping Hat is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to support residential roofing and exterior projects across the Denver metro area. In this role, you'll inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems associated with home roof and exterior improvements, ensuring safe, efficient operation. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, basic repairs, filter and component replacement, and clear documentation of work. You'll communicate directly with homeowners, explain findings, and coordinate with roofing crews.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain residential HVAC systems tied to roofing and exterior projects
• Perform preventive maintenance including cleaning, filter changes, and component checks
• Complete minor HVAC repairs and coordinate larger repairs with senior technicians or subcontractors
• Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in service records
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings, recommendations, and maintenance needs
• Collaborate with roofing and exterior crews to schedule work safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and use of PPEAssist with estimating HVAC-related scope on residential projects as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean, safe condition
