HVAC Senior Service Technician

Meiers Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Senior Service Technician to lead residential and light commercial service calls across the Kansas City metro area. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, perform start-ups, and complete seasonal tune-ups. You'll mentor junior techs, ensure code compliance, and communicate clearly with customers about findings and options. Responsibilities

• Lead residential and light commercial HVAC service calls
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and components
• Perform system start-ups, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance
• Verify code compliance and manufacturer specifications
• Communicate repair options, estimates, and maintenance findings to customers
• Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
• Mentor and support junior technicians in the field
• Coordinate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule
• Uphold company safety, quality, and customer service standards
• Participate in ongoing technical and manufacturer training

• Advanced HVAC diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems
• Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Brazing, soldering, and piping skills
• Electrical and low-voltage troubleshooting
• Use of HVAC service tools and test instruments
• Refrigerant handling and recovery (EPA 608)
• Customer communication and service writing
• Knowledge of HVAC codes and safety standards
