Compensation:
The starting hourly rate for this position is $34.77/hr.
"Off-scale hourly rates" and other components of pay, i.e., an hourly rate that is higher than the published system-wide hourly rate at the designated position grade, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
Deadline:

Reporting to the Facilities Manager and/or the Facilities Lead, you will support all aspects of the building facilities operations, perform maintenance inspection routines, support the custodial crew when they convey problematic facility findings and support the work of third party Vendors to maintain and improve a fully functioning, safe and engaging exhibition and facility. The Facility Maintenance Senior Technician will conduct all maintenance, repairs and improvements for the facility and will assist with the offsite warehouse location as needed.
You will play a strong role in identifying catastrophic building failures and suggesting methods to mitigate impact to the exhibition. You will be actively involved in suggesting ways that our carbon footprint and impact to our environment can be mitigated.
You are responsible to ensure the quality of work performed and regularly insert maintenance and inspection activities into the chosen Meow Wolf CMMS maintenance management software. You will perform frequent site inspections and regularly communicate with all members of the exhibition team.
Ideal candidates have great communication skills, in-depth familiarity of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, bar equipment, fixtures and finishes) shop tools and skills, construction, is knowledgeable regarding cleaning and sanitation methods and machinery as well as an appreciation for our employees, clientele and for immersive artwork.
You are responsible for maintaining all safety protocols and procedures and building codes in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. This role advances the organization by maintaining the highest level of services and support for employees and guests.
- Safely conduct maintenance and inspections of all building systems including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Suppression, Fire Safety, Electrical, structural, walls, floors and ceilings and others as defined by leadership to ensure the full functionality of the site on a regular and consistent basis.

- Encourage, and maintain internal and cross-departmental communication
- Play a role in providing a memorable and uniquely Meow Wolf level of service to guests
- Play a role in maintaining a high quality of vendor and supplier relationships
- Support the tracking of inspections and maintenance details of Facility assets according to the maintenance policy
- Execute equipment audits and inspections
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
- Safely perform maintenance tasks in the repair, maintenance and upkeep of facilities including mechanical, custodial and basic non-licensed electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Work closely with contractors such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC, mechanics and technicians.
- Respond to emergency calls for all alarm services or building emergencies.
- Report on the use and low inventory of critical spare parts on hand to support the need for sufficient quantities
- Follow the prescribed inspection schedule for checking the physical site and equipment for safety, cleanliness and good repair.

- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and duty cycle needs of equipment
- Ability to respond with grace to changing priorities and multiple projects / tasks
- The position requires knowledge in areas of HVAC, electrical safety / wiring and controls, generator maintenance, plumbing, life safety systems maintenance, wall repair, carpentry, painting, and machinery operations.
- Proficiency in the safe and proper use of power equipment and tools, heavy and light machinery, carpentry, wall repairs, and building materials.
