Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Plains All American Pipeline seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support safe, reliable pipeline and terminal operations. In this field-based role, you will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment, control systems, and instrumentation supporting crude oil and NGL assets. You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support startups and shutdowns, and respond to equipment issues while following strict safety and environmental standards.

Working closely with operations and engineering, you'll help drive reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a performance-driven, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for pipeline and terminal operations
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair control systems, PLCs, motors, and field instruments
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure asset reliability and uptime
• Support safe startup, shutdown, and commissioning of equipment and control systems
• Document work performed, update maintenance records, and follow Plains procedures and standards
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to resolve issues and optimize performance
• Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in field and facility work
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical equipment and system issues as needed
