Welcome to Lava Island
Lava Island is an indoor play oasis where kids fly across trampolines, vanish into towering jungle gyms, dive into foam pits, and race down slides while families share pizza and celebrate birthdays in the party rooms. It is loud, bright, and full of energy.
Every one of those parks started as an empty space. Magma Core Solutions (MCS) is the team that builds them.
What You’re Really BuildingPulling cable in a commercial space is mostly invisible work. The wiring disappears into walls and ceilings, and nobody walking through ever thinks about who put it there.
This is different. The cameras you install keep families safe. The access control you commission keeps kids where they belong and staff areas locked down. The audio you tune is the music a five-year-old hears on their birthday. The network you stand up is what the park runs on every day it is open.
It is real work, and it is good training. You will learn the trade by doing it, alongside a senior Lead who knows the systems inside out. When the park opens, what you installed is what makes it work.
Why You’ll Love Working at Lava Island- Real training in the trade. You learn structured cabling, IP cameras, access control, and commercial audio by doing the work, under a senior Lead who knows the systems.
- Real W2 job with a home base. Full benefits, not a 1099 sub gig that ends when the job ends.
- A path. The low voltage team is being built right now. Strong Technicians grow into Leads.
- New city every few weeks. Fast-moving work, never the same site for long.
- Steady pipeline. Lava Island is opening more parks every year.
- Competitive pay, travel and lodging covered, overtime eligible, and full benefits.
You are the hands on the low voltage scope at every new park MCS opens. You work alongside the Low Voltage Systems Lead, who runs the install, and you do the work with them.
Install- Pull, route, terminate, label, and dress structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A and fiber).
- Mount IP cameras, run cable to them, and support the Lead in bringing the system online.
- Install access control hardware: readers, controllers, electric hardware, request-to-exit devices.
- Run speaker cable, mount speakers and amplifiers, and support audio system installation.
- Install patch panels, switches, and PoE devices to specification.
- Build cable tray, ladder rack, and pathway as the install needs.
- Test and troubleshoot cable runs under the Lead’s direction.
- Follow direction from the Lead on tasks, sequencing, and quality.
- Ask questions when something is not clear. Do not guess on installations.
- Keep the work area organized and your tools accounted for.
- Protect work that is already done, yours and other trades’.
- Leave the site clean at the end of each day.
- Follow site safety standards, wear required PPE, and use ladders and lifts safely.
- Surface safety concerns to the Lead immediately.
- Travel with the Lead to operating Lava Island parks for warranty work, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades.
The Low Voltage Technicians who do well at MCS are:
- Willing to learn. The Lead has the technical depth. The Technician brings the hands, the focus, and the willingness to grow into the trade.
- Comfortable with hard physical work on an active construction site. Climbing, lifting, pulling, fishing cable above ceilings.
- Reliable. Show up on time, every day of the assignment, ready to work.
- Detail-oriented. The difference between a clean termination and a messy one matters.
- Honest about the travel. Multiple multi-day to multi-week visits per project. Be sure about this part before applying.
- Someone who follows direction well, asks good questions, and earns more responsibility over time.
