Clinical Support Specialist - Overnight Shift

The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) supports the counseling team and day‑to‑day operations of The Crossing campus during the overnight shift.

• Serve as primary support to the counseling team.
• Provide direct support to residents by conducting community evaluations and monitoring resident compliance with program guidelines.
• Ensure security and safety of the facility and residents during the shift, controlling drugs, alcohol or hazards that could jeopardize the program.
• Handle situations that jeopardize safety, including difficult or unruly clients and ensuring occupants are free from drugs, alcohol, and weapons.
• Call police, ambulances or behavioral health services for outside guests.
• Check and document medication deliveries, ensuring the correct medication reaches the right person.

• Submit maintenance requests online following daily property checks and follow up via email with appropriate staff.
• Assist with shuttle duties when needed at The Crossing.

• Understand role in daily operation of the mission, including shift focus: clinical support and facility safety.
• Maintain knowledge of facility and program policies, procedures and mechanical operations (fire alarm, electric, gas, water shut‑off).
• Schedule time off with the Clinical Support Supervisor to ensure staff coverage during all shifts.
• Show presence throughout the facility during the shift.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Clinical Support Supervisor and/or Clinical Director of Counseling and Admissions.

• Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs., bending, and climbing stairs.
• Work with individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental illness and other related issues.
• Work alone or with minimal supervision.
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least one year of relevant experience.
• Able to obtain Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) credential within one year of hire.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to resolve conflict professionally and maintain composure under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of Windows software applications.
• Work schedule assigned.
• Obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Active Driver's License; limited travel may be required.
• Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith and express Christian conduct.
