Position: DOLA Temporary Aide (Transparency Posting)

Division Of Housing Temporary Aide

The Division of Housing (DOH) partners with local communities to create housing opportunities for Coloradans who face the greatest challenges in accessing affordable, safe, and secure homes. DOH supports projects ranging from homelessness prevention to home ownership. Our work includes:
Increasing and preserving Colorado's inventory of affordable housing. Managing rental assistance vouchers. Creating and supporting collaborative approaches to end homelessness. Regulating mobile home parks and the construction and installation of factory-built structures.

Position Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Data Management Team, prepare historical grants and loans records for migration to the new database system. This will include reviewing and cleaning confidential, financial, and programmatic data and documents, as well as preparing templates for import to the new database system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years experience handling large datasets
  • Demonstrated experience using technology to extract and clean datasets that are complex and sensitive in nature
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Google workspace products
  • Advance SQL and/or Python skills preferred but not required

Terms of Employment:

  • Temporary Aides are limited Per Colorado constitution, a temporary employee may work for the State no more than nine (9) months in a 12-month period. The 12-month period is not defined as a calendar or fiscal year, but a rolling 12-month period that begins with the month of the first day of work for the temporary assignment.
  • For continuous or regular (including part-time) work schedules, the temporary assignment starts the actual date the temporary employee begins work and ends after nine months. For example, a temporary employee who begins working June 15th may work continuously through March 14th. Upon completion of the continuous nine (9) month assignment, the temporary aide must take four (4) months off prior to returning in the same position.
  • Temporary employees pay state, federal and local (if applicable) taxes, Medicare tax, and contribute to the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). They also receive Workers' Compensation coverage.
  • Non-permanent temporary employees are ineligible for all State of Colorado Benefits except for CSEAP benefits and Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association PERA retirement employer contributions.
  • Must be a Colorado resident at time of application
  • You must pass a thorough background check prior to employment
