Administrative Assistant

The administrative assistant will support the front office, assisting with answering phones, providing one-time resources and referrals and assisting with walk in appointments, serving both Spanish and English-speaking clients. This is a part-time contractor position, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am-4pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phone calls
  • Assist with resources and referrals
  • Assist with walk-in appointments
  • Assist with food pantry registrations
  • Assist with creation of fliers and documents
  • Assist with other office duties as needed

Requirements

About you:

The ideal candidate has a strong desire to assist refugee/immigrant communities and has familiarity with their related needs and services. The ideal candidate works well collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and outside partners, has excellent bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills, and is flexible and patient in the face of changes or challenges. Candidates should be very reliable, customer service-oriented, have strong independent work skills, and be willing to share cultural knowledge with our team.

Requirements:

  • One year of direct service provision in human services/ navigation or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with resources and referrals
  • Language Requirements:
    Spanish/English with demonstrated cultural and linguistic fluency in both languages.
  • Strong desire to serve refugee/immigrant communities.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills, in both Spanish and English
  • Familiarity with needs of refugee/immigrant communities.
  • Familiarity with community resources.
  • Ability to work well collaborating with others on a diverse interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
  • Firsthand cultural knowledge as a member/leader in the local refugee community in Colorado.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with community members and act as advocate for and liaison between refugee communities and diverse network of providers.
  • Skilled at facilitating client and family engagement.
  • Ability to give and take direction accurately, efficiently and flexibility.
  • Basic computer competency, including knowledge of Microsoft programs, outlook and google applications
