• Respond to callers who access Safe House Denver’s 24‑hour Crisis & Information Line, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and education on domestic abuse, trauma response, and coping skills.
• Support callers in assessing immediate needs, identifying culturally appropriate resources and referrals, and developing a plan of action, including safety planning and emergency residential services screening.
• Provide initial intake, orientation, appraisal, and safety planning for new residents in the emergency residential facility/program, and offer emotional support and crisis intervention during the intake process.
• Deliver short‑term advocacy, counseling, safety planning, and crisis intervention to adult residents and children; facilitate individual and group support planning, education/support groups, and children’s activities/support groups.
• Advocate for residents with outside agencies and within the program, assist with transitions from the emergency residential facility through exit interviews, and maintain a safe, respectful community living environment via conflict management and crisis intervention.
• Maintain accurate, timely record‑keeping, appropriate charting, and documentation; demonstrate initiative for service quality, improvement, and program development.
• Participate in staff meetings, case management meetings, program meetings, and community educational opportunities to maintain and improve skills; represent Safe House Denver positively and professionally.
• Support on‑call and shift requirements, including weekend coverage and monthly on‑call service, responding to phone calls within 15 minutes.

• Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
• Bilingual required (Spanish).
• Three years of experience in human services or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior time management and organizational skills.
• Two years of crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy experience.
• Attentive, responsive, and proactive; able to pivot as necessary to meet survivors’ needs.
• Detail oriented with strong technical aptitude; advanced proficiency in MS Office.
