SOAR - Seeing Our Adolescents Rise Adolescent Engagement Coach & Group Facilitator Denver, CO

SOAR Coaches provide trauma-informed, consistent youth coaching, educational and life skills support, and adventure/experiential activities to diverse adolescent clients between the ages of 7 and 19, involved with mental health, public school, court, and juvenile justice systems. Coaches facilitate and lead skill development groups that focus on building resilience, trust building, and prosocial behaviors. Coaches establish and maintain strong working relationships with SOAR staff, youth, families, community partners and other key figures through regular communication and timely documentation.

Coaches work independently and in tandem with SOAR clinicians.

Description

SOAR is a community-based, trauma-informed organization dedicated to empowering multicultural and marginalized youth ages 7–19. Through innovative programming that blends coaching, mentorship, education support, community service, adventure therapy, and engaging activities, SOAR meets the unique needs of young people navigating complex life circumstances. The majority of youth served by SOAR have current or past involvement with the juvenile justice system. Recognizing that transportation is often a major barrier to accessing services for our population, SOAR staff meet with clients in their homes, schools, and other social milieus.

Staff provide transportation to SOAR and community events with state mileage reimbursement rates.
