Purpose Of Position:
A Resident Life Navigator at Catholic Charities:
· Provide crisis intervention and milieu management to provide a safe, stable, and positive environment.
· Adhere to and enforce shelter rules.
· Answer phone calls including crisis calls and return all messages left.
· Provide information, referral, and advocacy to shelter residents and crisis callers.
· Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
· Orient new participants to shelter and explain house rules.
· Monitor and check daily chores.
· Perform room checks and hold residents accountable to the regulations and policies of Marisol Homes.
· Complete regular urine drug screenings of participants.
· Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly supervisions as scheduled.
· Participate in the upkeep of the house, report all maintenance, food, and supply needs to the supervisor promptly.
· Complete safety check at start of each shift and frequently throughout shift.
· Supports, promotes, and adheres to Catholic Charities' vision, mission, values, and Code of Ethics.

· Uses creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
· Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information.
· Regular and predictable attendance.
Employees may be required to work at or provide temporary coverage at other shelter locations based on operational and business needs.
Requirements
Qualifications Needs to demonstrate strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of the theories and practices of counseling and social work, skills in the use of interviewing and assessment techniques, skills in preparing professional reports and documents, skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, organizations and the public are required.
· Knowledge of the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
· Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum qualification of Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university in related field; and three to five years related shelter operations experience and/or training. Human services, social work degree preferred. Master's Degree preferred. HMIS training and experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $24.00-$25.00 an hour
