Senior Software Engineer, Client Experience

At Forge (NYSE: FRGE), we know our team is our greatest asset. This remote role is based in Denver, CO, with hybrid attendance required once a Denver office is opened (onsite 9 days per month). We build technology infrastructure for a global private market, enabling private company liquidity, data insights, and secure custody for companies, employees, and investors.

The Role:

• We are seeking a senior front-end engineer, specializing in React, Type Script, and Server-Side Rendering principles, to join our team. The ideal candidate has expertise in modern front-end technologies and a drive for delivery, with a strong customer focus.

Key responsibilities and expectations include:

• Champion highly functional iterative delivery partnerships with Product, Design, and other engineering teams
• Build web apps using React, ensuring responsive, accessible, performant, and excellent customer experiences
• Promote reusable components using Tailwind design tokens to enable simplified reuse
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable software solutions
• Partner with domain and data providers for end-to-end solution delivery
• Maintain code quality and best practices through reviews and mentorship
• Advocate for the customer through experimentation and data-driven decisioning
• Stay updated on frontend trends and practices to keep the platform cutting-edge
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Responsibilities:

• Understand business context, current systems, operations, and proposed changes
• Build and enhance web applications using SPA/SSR frameworks such as React and Remix
• Contribute to technical design, code, and team delivery
• Influence frontend design decisions and domain integration
• Mentor distributed engineers in frontend design and technique
• Act as a technical lead for a team of engineers
• Develop concise, articulate, and detailed documentation
• Consult with other teams on frontend applications
• Investigate and recommend guidelines for use of internal/external frameworks and new technologies aligned to business needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in building externally facing, highly available UI experiences in React or frameworks such as Next.js or Angular
• Experience partnering with UI/UX designers and leveraging design systems, component libraries, and charting libraries
• Proven track record of teamwork and rapid delivery with mentorship
• Expertise in build optimization and bundling tools
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, RESTful APIs, Graph
  
  QL, Web Socket
• Deep knowledge of patterns and best practices for large-scale customer-facing solutions
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to operate a computer for 8 hours per day and communicate verbally and in writing

Desired

Qualifications:

• Experience with backend-for-frontend (BFF) architectures or lambda functions
• Knowledge of Cloudflare as a CDN/cache layer
• Experience programming in C# and .NET
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure
• Fin Tech or Financial Services industry experience or other highly regulated fields
