There are millions of e-commerce businesses around the world, and the industry is growing each year, yet achieving profitability has never been harder. Costs are rising, it’s trickier to acquire customers, and it  critical to run with lean teams. As a result, the vast majority of brands guess about things like how to price their products, what discounts to offer, whether to charge for shipping, and what content they should show on the site, leaving 6–10% of potential profit on the table.

Intelligems is a profit growth platform that helps these entrepreneurs succeed by uncovering that profit. Our platform provides e-commerce merchants with a wide range of A/B testing and personalization tools to help them understand their data, run experiments, and price dynamically. We  taking technology that has previously been available only to the Amazons and Ubers of the world, and making it available to e-commerce stores of any size.

We have excellent traction: we  working with over 2,000 brands and have access to more than $10B of transaction and shopping session data. As we enter scaling mode, we are looking for highly talented individuals to join us and help us continue to scale efficiently. We have an extremely high-performing team, with a collaborative culture of low-ego + high-IQ people. Our people are our strongest asset, and we hold a very high bar.

Roll up your sleeves and let’s build together! From day one, we’ll ask you to contribute to any and every aspect of our stack. It could be adding new functionality to the core experimentation capabilities of the platform, designing and implementing a new integration, or reworking a complicated user flow.

Our team is lean and mean — less than 10 engineers and only a handful of product and design. This means you’ll work closely with everyone, including those in non-technical roles like our sales, support, and success teams.

Month one will be characterized by “learning by doing” - taking on features that are meaningful in impact with input from other teammates to get deep in the codebase and concepts while also providing value to our customers.

From there you  tackle increasingly complex and ambiguous problems. With varying degrees of input from your product and design teammates, you  figure out the implementation details from schema and API design to UI polish.

We have thousands of customers, too, so there are often opportunities to work directly or indirectly with them. Understanding the customer perspective and having empathy are important skills that will help make you effective in each of the countless micro design decisions you make each day.

Knowledge in all of these is not required, but you should be excited to work within and help us improve the stack.

• Type Script monorepo
• Frontend - React web app hosted on AWS S3/Cloudfront;
  Redux, Material UI, React Query
• Backend - Serverless NodeJS hosted on AWS Lambda, managed by SST. MySQL database. Also includes SQS queues, Dynamo tables, dockerized lambdas, etc

• Analytics - AWS Eventbus, Kinesis, Flink, Kafka, and Clickhouse.
• You have experience owning product and feature development from ideation to delivery
• You  able to hold a lot of context in your head — there are a lot of moving pieces here to keep in mind

• You have deep expertise in areas that will level us up
