Sr. Software Engineer; Hybrid- Accruit

Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. The role calls for expertise in front‑end and back‑end development, architecture and design patterns, and Dev Ops.

Remote hires are accepted in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia. Employees within a 90‑minute radius of our Denver, CO office must work onsite at least 4 days a month, with at least one Monday or Friday.

• Provide technical leadership for a small engineering team, guide implementation decisions, and partner with senior leadership on technical escalations.
• Design, develop, and test applications (e.g., API, web apps) in accordance with established standards.
• Work closely with design and product teams to ship delightful, engaging products using Angular, Type Script, Node.js, and RESTful API.
• Mentor and coach team members through code reviews, pair programming, documentation, and technical guidance.
• Contribute to and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Foster an environment that embraces and values diverse backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences.
• Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and software architects to plan, design, and build software.
• Ensure non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are considered when designing and delivering solutions.
• Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that enhance developer experience and productivity.
• Champion technical excellence by staying abreast of emerging technologies, reviewing architectural decisions, and driving continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and bugs in applications and guide team members in root‑cause analysis and resolution.
• Create design diagrams and other technical documentation.

• 5+ years of experience in software or solution architecture roles, designing and implementing complex, enterprise‑level solutions on a cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural frameworks.
• Strong understanding of continuous delivery patterns, cloud foundational patterns, observability patterns, and developer experience patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

• Infrequent travel (approximately 10%).
• Ability to occasionally work overtime or after hours.

$107,000 – $137,000 per year.
