Senior Full Stack Engineer – Generative AI

Litera, a leading legal technology supplier with 30 years of innovation, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to shape and deliver generative AI solutions that transform the legal profession.

Job Overview

The role is part of the Generative AI Innovation team and focuses on designing and developing GenAI features and agents for Litera’s market products and internal processes. Responsibilities include leading virtual developer teams, evangelizing GenAI tools, and collaborating cross‑functionally to create high‑impact, secure software.

Location

Hybrid based in Denver, Colorado. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance and be able to work on‑site at least three days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as governing lead for one or more teams of virtual developers using Cognition AI’s Devin or comparable toolsets.
  • Collaborate with Litera’s engineering and product teams to design innovative GenAI‑based products and features.
  • Research, evaluate, and document emerging AI technologies, development agents, and similar tools.
  • Act as a GenAI evangelist, socially sharing new technologies across the engineering department.
  • Write clean, maintainable, extensible code with minimal defects.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to complete tasks, manage priorities, estimates, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Apply software and security best practices, including object‑oriented design patterns, OWASP Top
    10, and SOLID principles.
  • Produce documentation and evaluations of new technologies and their potential value for Litera.
  • Coordinate with other groups to explore GenAI applications for current process challenges and inefficiencies.
  • Translate product and feature ideas into technical designs and development tasks.
  • Conduct sessions and webinars to disseminate knowledge throughout the engineering department.
  • Define new opportunities for leveraging GenAI to improve Litera products and organizational processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of software development experience across the full stack, including .NET/.NETCore, ASP.NETCore, Web/REST APIs, React/Vue/Angular, SQL Azure or SQLServer, and Postgre

    SQL.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and delivering complex, ambiguous systems end‑to‑end.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving ability with a bias toward pragmatic, high‑impact solutions.
  • Experience influencing technical direction, architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Product mindset – ability to translate unclear requirements into well‑defined systems.
  • Leadership skills with a proven ability to elevate team performance through mentorship, standards, and example.
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of AI and redefining how software is built.
  • Computer Science or Software Engineering degree (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience building and scaling applications using .NET and React.
  • Hands‑on experience with Large Language Models (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and agent‑based architectures.
  • Experience with Microsoft agent frameworks or similar orchestration systems.
  • Familiarity with AI‑first development workflows using tools such as Devin, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops , and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Proficiency with data systems, including Postgre

    SQL, Redis, and cloud‑native platforms (Azure preferred).
