Senior, Software Engineer

Position Summary

Walmart/Vizio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a full‑time, onsite role at our Denver, CO office. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsible for core systems that manage user identity, data and access across the Vizio platform, including authentication, authorization, PII management, device linking and user consent systems.

The Vizio Identity team owns platform‑level systems for authentication, PII storage, device linking, and privacy controls. The team partners with product, security, legal, and infrastructure to ensure scalable and compliant systems.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable services and APIs supporting identity and access management.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and team engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and observability through thoughtful design and instrumentation.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and help drive pragmatic engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and 7+ years of professional software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Type Script and/or C#. Experience in Python or Go is a plus.
• Experience building and scaling microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Object‑Oriented Programming.
• Proficiency in relational databases (Postgre

• Experience deploying to Docker containers.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration across teams, and mentoring experience.

• Option 1:
  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Option 2: 5 years of software engineering experience.

• Master’s degree in a related field and 1 year of software engineering experience.
• Knowledge and experience implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
