Denver, CO. This position is hybrid based; candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance, as the role requires on‑site presence at least three days per week.

As a Cloud Architect at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will work with cutting‑edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession.

• Contribute to the architecture of a cloud‑native, multi‑tenant SaaS platform, including services, APIs, data, integrations, and AI/ML capabilities.
• Identify architectural risks related to scalability, availability, security, data residency, and disaster recovery, and define platform‑wide mitigation patterns.
• Establish and maintain architecture reference designs, technical standards, and reusable blueprints used across engineering teams.
• Actively participate in the platform’s architectural evolution through major milestones while ensuring backward compatibility and long‑term technical coherence.
• Design and govern enterprise‑grade identity and access management, including SSO, provisioning, authorization models, and tenant isolation.
• Embed security and compliance (SOC2, GDPR, enterprise security controls) directly into platform and data architecture by design.
• Architect scalable, high‑performance data and event‑driven systems supporting multi‑region, multi‑tenant SaaS workloads.
• Define and apply integration patterns and onboarding standards for third‑party and partner ecosystems, ensuring security, resiliency, and data sovereignty.
• Provide hands‑on architectural guidance by participating in design reviews, mentoring engineers, and partnering with Product, Security, and Customer teams.
• Produce clear architecture documentation and communicate technical trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or platform engineering, with significant experience designing production SaaS platforms (Azure preferred).
• Deep hands‑on expertise with Azure services (e.g., AKS, Cosmos
  
  DB, Synapse, Service Bus, Redis, APIM, Entra
  
  ID) and cloud‑native design patterns.
• Strong experience designing multi‑tenant data architectures with tenant isolation, governance, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Solid understanding of identity, security, and authentication standards—including OIDC, OAuth
  2.0, RBAC, encryption, and key management.
• Ability to produce high‑quality architecture documentation and communicate technical trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree or relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.

• Base salary range for Colorado applicants: $125,000 to $150,000.
• Eligibility to participate in company bonus plan.
