About the Role Director of Engineering – Product Delivery & AIOrtho Fi is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Engineering who thrives on collaborative problem‑solving and innovation. Ortho Fi has experienced rapid growth over the last 10+ years, and we are now expanding our engineering organization to meet the demands of a fast‑evolving healthcare technology landscape. This role is a unique opportunity to lead both established product delivery teams and a growing AI‑focused capability, driving technical excellence across a diverse and distributed organization.
You will work closely with Ortho Fi's technical leadership to deliver complex product initiatives while simultaneously building and scaling AI‑driven solutions that transform how we serve our customers. Your teams span product delivery, platform engineering, and applied AI — requiring you to be equally fluent in shipping reliable software at scale and incubating new capabilities with a startup mindset.
Responsibilities- Provide direct leadership to Engineering Managers and team leads across product delivery and AI teams, including performance management, career development, and employee engagement.
- Lead and grow a distributed organization spanning onsite, offshore, and contract staff across multiple work streams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, psychological safety, and continuous improvement across all teams.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to hire strong engineers and managers, building motivated and high‑performing teams.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery accountability for product engineering teams, ensuring fast, predictable, and agile execution aligned with customer expectations and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to guide feature decisions, effort estimations, and roadmap prioritization.
