Job Summary
Senior Software Engineer located in Denver or Cedar Rapids will design, develop, and support web and cloud application solutions for Enterprise Technology. The role emphasizes collaboration with onsite, offshore, and contract engineers in an agile environment, and requires a strong foundation in Java, cloud services, and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with development staff, including contract and offshore engineers, and product owners in an agile environment.
- Write, test, identify, implement, and document solutions to business challenges using web and cloud technologies.
- Perform design and analysis for deliverables and lead large‑team design sessions for system–level architecture solutions.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert and mentor other team members in design and coding standards.
- Recommend solutions that consider costs, business needs, and system impacts.
- Support analysis and general architectural design across platforms toward end‑to‑end solutions.
- Utilize third‑party development frameworks, open‑source libraries, and APIs to build basic application solutions.
- Rapidly learn new technologies and contribute to project deliverables.
- Assist with preparing presentations and lead development meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Three years of core Java experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java, OOD, OOP, Functional Programming, Spring Framework, and J2EE.
- Two years of experience in database design techniques (RDBMS, Document, Star Schema, Kimball).
- Experience with No
SQL databases (MS Cosmos DB, Apache Cassandra, Amazon DynamoDB). - Understanding of cloud services (AWS or Azure) and related tools (EC2, ECS, S3, etc.).
- Experience with build and deployment tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Swagger, and Swagger‑UI.
- Experience with integration frameworks (API gateways, Apache Camel, Kafka).
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js).
- Understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, big‑data, and real‑time streaming analytics.
- Experience with agentic coding platforms like Kiro and Copilot.
- Knowledge of data‑warehousing architecture and ETL processes.
- Technology or platform certifications (AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- Knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Office environment with occasional travel of less than 10%.
- Work outside normal business hours may be required.
- Hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in the Denver or Cedar Rapids hub.

The salary range for this position is $94,000–$120,000 annually, with potential for an annual bonus. Final compensation depends on qualifications, experience, geography, and operational needs. This role is eligible for the Company Bonus Plan at the company’s discretion.
