Job Description & How to Apply Below

Want to move fast, build with AI, and ship products that reach millions? We’re growing, and we need a full‑stack engineer to help build and grow our applications while keeping the platform fast, reliable, and scalable.

Homebot is a home‑ownership platform for lenders and real estate, title, and insurance professionals that drives client retention and referrals. We help homeowners build wealth through home ownership while keeping our customers connected to their clients for life.

Full‑time position: hybrid from our Denver, CO office, or fully remote within the United States. Check out the Perks/Benefits section for more details!

Compensation Philosophy

Homebot is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits that reflect industry standards and individual expertise. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, and professional experience. In addition to base salary and bonus, all full‑time employees are eligible to receive Equity Appreciation Rights (Stock Units) as part of their total compensation package, providing an opportunity to share in Homebot’s long‑term growth and success.

The number of units and vesting schedule are typically determined within the first 90 days of employment, based on role, level, and contribution.

Compensation: This role has an annual targeted base salary range of $125,000 – $143,000 plus an annual 10% performance bonus target.

For additional details on our total benefits package, please review the section Why Homebot? at the end of this job description.

What You’ll Be Accountable For
  • Build and grow our applications, services, and APIs by shipping new features and enhancements.
  • Own implementation end to end, using AI tooling to deliver features from idea to production quickly and responsibly.
  • Create AI‑driven workflows and automation that streamline how we work.
  • Collaborate through code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and solve hard problems.
  • Ship maintainable, well‑tested code that scales.
Collaboration
  • Reports to an Engineering Leader
  • Works cross‑functionally with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams
Experience & Qualifications
  • You have 3+ years building production‑grade software. You’re a capable full‑stack engineer comfortable working in Type Script, React, Ruby on Rails, and more.
  • You think in APIs and services. You’ve built and consumed REST and GraphQL APIs. You keep services decoupled, typed, and scalable.
  • You build with AI. You use AI‑powered dev tools and agentic workflows daily, and you own the code you ship and the decisions behind it.
  • You build for quality. You write clean, testable code with strong typing and runtime validation. You test behavior over implementation.
  • You care how it runs, and how it’s used. You instrument what you build with monitoring, logging, tracing, and product analytics like Amplitude.
  • You know your way around data. Solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL).
  • You’re a collaborative teammate. You communicate clearly, give and take thoughtful code reviews, and enjoy working with product and design.
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with the home buying, lending, and real estate process
  • Experience with microservice architectures and decomposing monoliths
  • A track record of shipping AI‑powered or agentic features
  • Hands‑on with GraphQL at scale
  • Exposure to data tooling like Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt
Characteristics of a Homebot Engineer
  • A positive, solution‑oriented thinker who takes initiative and adds value
  • Driven to learn and take on hard problems
  • Enjoys helping peers and learning from them in turn
  • A pragmatist who places a high value on code quality
  • A strong understanding of the value that tests provide
