UX Design Engineer - Digital Products

The Design Engineer bridges design and engineering, bringing digital products to life with exceptional attention to detail. This role combines strong front-end development skills with design sensibility to create polished, intuitive user experiences across web and mobile. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver experiences that are not only functional, but thoughtful, accessible, and visually refined.

• Build high-quality user interfaces across web and mobile that faithfully translate design intent into production.
• Implement and refine reusable components while maintaining consistency with the design system.
• Elevate product quality through thoughtful interaction design, motion, micro‑interactions, transitions, and polished UI states (loading, empty, error, success).
• Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and performance are built into every experience.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to understand user problems, validate solutions, and continuously improve the product using analytics (Amplitude or similar).
• Take ownership of ambiguous problems by proposing solutions, identifying gaps, and moving work forward without waiting for perfect requirements.
• Use AI‑powered development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar to accelerate development while applying sound engineering judgment, testing thoroughly, and refining generated code.

• 3–5 years of experience building production web or mobile applications with a strong focus on user experience (UX).
• Strong front‑end development skills and experience implementing responsive, component‑based interfaces.
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and experience working within established design systems.
• Excellent eye for visual design, including typography, spacing, layout, color, motion, and interaction design.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, UI performance, and responsive design best practices.
• Product‑mindful approach with the ability to understand business goals, user needs, and success metrics before building.
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design and technical trade‑offs and collaborate across disciplines.
