The Analytics ADC team delivers AWS Analytics cloud services in isolated, air‑gapped cloud environments. The team innovates scalable distributed systems and provides services such as Athena, Lake Formation, Redshift, Open Search, Glue, and Sage Maker in air‑gapped regions.
Key Job Responsibilities- Develop, build, and operate AWS Analytics services that enable customers to optimize their data.
- Debug and resolve operational challenges in air‑gapped environments, simulate high‑scale operations, and implement automation.
- Design and deploy open‑source solutions for customers, and support security compliance (blocked software, host patching).
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve contentious issues, harmonize viewpoints, and drive technical decisions.
- Write and maintain production code in Java, Python, or similar languages, following best practices and coding standards.
- Drive process improvement to streamline deployment and scaling across devices and ADC partitions.
As a Software Development Engineer in Analytics ADC, you will build innovative solutions, expand services into ADC regions, and improve operations for resiliency. You influence technical strategy, make data‑driven decisions, and contribute to ticket resolution, infrastructure improvements, and service deployments.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience for scalable systems.
- Bachelor’s degree (or CSSLP) in a relevant field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals in large‑scale distributed environments.
- Experience leading technical post‑mortem discussions and deep‑dive troubleshooting.
- Proven track record of simplifying complex problems and improving processes at scale.
