Job Overview

Systems Development Engineer II – Analytics, Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. In this role you will build and operate AWS Agentic AI services and other analytics solutions in air‑gapped cloud environments while working closely with Amazon’s largest government customers to simplify complex problems and enhance the customer experience. You will need to maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and opt into the required clearance for each agency you serve.

• Develop, build, and operate AWS Agentic AI services that enable customers to optimize their data.
• Lead design and implementation of solutions across ADC partitions and regions, improving scalability, automation, and quality of service.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and resolve contentious issues.
• Apply strong Linux and networking fundamentals to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in large‑scale distributed environments.
• Design and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems, including automation of operational tasks and open‑source tool development.
• Drive customer‑centric improvements through data‑driven decision making, bias for action, and continuous process refinement.
• Participate in technical post‑mortem discussions to identify root causes of complex problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals: networking, storage, operating systems.
• 1+ year of experience designing or architecting new or existing systems focused on reliability and scaling.
• Current, active U.S. Government security clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.

• 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands‑on systems engineering.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum.
• Proficiency with version control systems and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure.
