Senior Mobile Application Developer

Our client is a nationally recognized healthcare organization dedicated to advancing care for individuals living with chronic and complex conditions. They are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer with deep expertise in native Android development and a strong understanding of iOS development. In this role, you will help build and enhance mobile applications that support critical healthcare initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent experiences across both Android and iOS platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful technology initiatives in healthcare while working within a collaborative development environment. The position offers long-term potential, with the possibility of contract extensions.

Location:

Hybrid (Denver, CO preferred) – onsite approximately three days per month. Remote candidates may also be considered.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, and the Android SDK.
• Partner with iOS developers to deliver consistent functionality, user experience, and coordinated feature releases across both mobile platforms.
• Integrate RESTful APIs to support secure data synchronization, file transfers, and communication between mobile applications and backend services.
• Execute application testing, troubleshoot issues, manage pre-release deployments, and support quality assurance through beta testing platforms.
• Maintain mobile applications by implementing updates, managing third-party libraries and assets, publishing releases to mobile app stores, and adapting code for evolving Android and iOS operating system updates.

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

• 5–7 years of professional software development experience with a strong emphasis on native Android application development.
• Advanced experience with Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, and the Android SDK.
• Working knowledge of iOS development using Swift and/or Objective-C with Xcode; hands-on experience is highly preferred.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and building scalable, maintainable mobile applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in an Agile development environment.
