Responsibilities
- Own identity end-to-end, design and build systems managing user authentication
- Lead design of role-based and attribute-based access control (RBAC/ABAC) systems
- Design and operate backend systems powering push, email, and in-app notification delivery
- Write RFCs, lead technical design reviews, set technical direction
- Break down problems, ship with velocity, integrate AI tooling into workflow
- Mentor peers, share knowledge, elevate design and code reviews
- Collaborate with Product, Security, and feature-domain engineering teams
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with meaningful ownership of production systems at scale
- Deep expertise in identity systems — authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML)
- Experience designing multi-tenant identity models
- Hands‑on experience building or operating notification infrastructure
- Strong command of at least one backend language (Ruby, Go, Python, or similar)
- Track record of leading technical design
- Active AI fluency using tools like Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM-based assistants
- Security‑minded by default
- Clear, direct communicator
