About this job:

Helps elementary school athletes to play their best individually or as a team in sports such as but not limited to: football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis and golf.

What You'll Do:

* The ELCSports Leagues;
Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball

* The first two weeks are practice only for the purpose of skill development and understanding rules and regulations. ELCSports Coaches are expected to prepare practice plans and host practice at the assigned school two times per week for all 8 weeks

* Beginning week 3, Coaches will host practice twice per week at assigned school and coach one game per week. Schools will play a total of 6 games, including home and away games.

* -Coaches will be paid up to 1.5 hours per practice and 2 hours for games, totaling up to 5 hours per week

* -Teaches fundamental and advanced athletic skills to elementary school aged student-athletes in order to prepare them for competition

* Becomes an expert on the rules, strategies, and techniques required for the sport as well as knowledgeable about sports equipment, physical fitness and safety.

* Supports the coordination and recruitment of student participants

* Attends preseason orientation hosted by ELCSports Administration to learn rules and expectations of the league

Qualifications:

* Current CPR Certification or the ability to obtain one prior to coaching (online CPR not accepted).

* Teacher Certification is preferred.

* Previous coaching experience or experience working with urban youth preferred.

Education Requirements:

* High School diploma/equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

* Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.

* Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.

* Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
