2 nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Opened in 2007, Todd Creek Golf Club is a full-service facility offering premium casual dining, banquets, events and a high-caliber golf experience. Todd Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole facility with a premier practice facility.

Todd Creek Golf Club is seeking a motivated, passionate, and detailed oriented individual to join our team as the 2 nd Assistant Superintendent. The 2 nd Assistant Superintendent is a key position within the Golf Course Maintenance Department. The 2 nd Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in the daily management of golf course maintenance operations.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Train, motivate, and supervise staff capable of performing the tasks associated with maintaining the golf course.
  • Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of all tasks.
  • Assist the Assistant Superintendent with daily schedule, monitor, and supervise daily operations.
  • Promote and enforce safety practices in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Train employees in safety procedures and internal procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the golf course equipment, maintenance facility, and grounds.
  • Assist with fertilizer and chemical applications including GPS guided sprayer.
  • Assist with the setup of Toro Lynx operating system and maintenance of irrigation system.
  • Assist with record keeping for supplies, daily logs, application records, weather records, and personnel.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the necessary cultural maintenance programs necessary to keep the golf course in good condition.
  • Lead special projects or other duties as assigned.
  • Available to work weekends. Rotate duties with Super, Assistant and Mechanic.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in turf management or related field or trades training as obtained in a turf management certificate program and work-related experience in turf management.
  • Colorado Pesticide License (or ability to obtain within designated timeframe).
  • Working knowledge of golf course operations and turf management practices.
  • Strong work ethic, positive mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver's License
