CLASS A CDL DRIVER
Job Summary /Purpose:
The primary functions of the Class A CDL Driver are to safely transport cased goods and bulk fluids from the warehouse facility to customer locations locally and out of town and/or pick up and transport supplies from vendors to the warehouse facility or designated locations.
Job Duties /Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:- Assist with the loading of cased goods and/or bulk fluids at the warehouse facility.
- Secure freight inside truck with appropriate tools and/or supplies including but not limited to: hand trucks, barrel dollies, pallet jacks, straps, etc.
- Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on vehicle, make minor repairs as needed and report all other needed repairs to supervisor or manager
- Safely transport product to customer sites locally and/or out of town.
- Unload the customer’s freight safely and accurately.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Comply with all DOT policies
- Comply with all State and Federal regulations
- Unload truck and submit all necessary paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of vehicle
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and willing to work overtime up to 20 hours per week if necessary
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Class A CLD, Hazmat & Tanker certifications
- Must successfully pass the air brake component of the general knowledge test.
- Must possess an acceptable MVR
- Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements including medical certification
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, customers and law enforcement officials
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must have basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift/carry by hand, freight weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to push/pull up to 1500 pounds using mechanical devices such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, pallet jack, etc.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in & out of a truck.
- Ability to move hoses filled with product weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to go up and down stairs

Education and/orExperience:
Successful completion of CDL Driving School
Work Environment:Drivers may be exposed to petroleum products, additives, fuel, windshield washer fluids, cleaners, antifreeze, and various other products associated with the petroleum industry. Drivers may be exposed to odors, heavy equipment, assembly line equipment, forklifts, and various other hazards associated with the petroleum industry in a warehouse & manufacturing facility.
