A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ROUTE DRIVERAs a Route Driver you collect and transport raw materials from our customers to facilities and transfer stations. You drive a straight truck or tractor‑trailer, manage your route with an on‑board computer (OBC), keep an up‑to‑date backup paper log, maintain the truck’s cleanliness, complete a daily vehicle condition report, operate lift equipment, and provide exceptional service while following all laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications For a Route Driver- Must be at least 21 years old
- Authorized to work in the US
- Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsements
- Good driving record
- Customer service skills
Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting and experience with truck hydraulics are preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. You should be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, be organized with superior time‑management skills, maintain composure in difficult situations, adapt to changes, and work well with others.
ROUTE DELIVERY WORK SCHEDULEAll route delivery drivers operate routes in their local area with occasional overnight travel. This full‑time Class A or Class B CDL truck driving job also offers the opportunity to work regular overtime.
