As a Yard Hostler/Trailer Hopper, you will move trailers around the yard and operate a forklift.
Responsibilities include:
- Moving Trailers:
Safely operate a yard truck to transport trailers in the yard. - Operating Forklifts:
Safely operate forklifts to transport and organize materials, load and unload trailers. - Material Handling:
Load and unload materials, following safety standards. - Inventory Management:
Organize, stack, and track inventory to keep operations efficient. - Safety Compliance:
Follow safety guidelines and protocols. - Equipment Maintenance:
Perform basic inspections and report maintenance issues; monitor fuel and oil levels.
- Experience operating a yard tractor or similar vehicle is required.
- Forklift experience and certification is required.
- A solid work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- A team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate to meet goals.
