Job Summary
We are seeking safety conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers. This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hooking and unhooking commercial trailers, and completing all required paperwork. Drivers are home daily with weekends off, providing a healthy work‑life balance.
Shift
Monday - Friday, 10 pm start time
Pay
$0.79 per mile for doubles + $5,000 sign‑on bonus
Routes
Denver, CO to Pueblo, CO to Denver, CO – 2 trips (500 miles)
Essential Job Duties
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection.
- Operate tractor‑trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 21 years of age.
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- No DUI or DWI in the past 3 years.
- No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain them; renewals reimbursable.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment skills assessment.
Physical Demands
- Frequent entry and exit of the cab.
- Carry freight up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet.
- Hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations.
- Manually lower and raise landing gear.
- Operate fifth wheel release levers, lock and release pintle hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors.
- Climb into and out of vehicles, fuel, and check oil/coolant levels.
