Job Summary
The Operations Support role for Maersk Ground Freight in Denver, CO focuses on controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across multiple transportation modes to meet customer requests and maintain station KPIs with high operational excellence and customer service.
Location & Shift InformationDenver, CO. Weekends required with rotating shifts. Off days Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Shift times include 4:30am-1pm, 10am-6:30pm, and 11am-7:30pm. Ability to work overtime and weekend on‑call rotations is required.
Key Responsibilities- Track and trace outbound shipments.
- Inspect outbound freight.
- Contract new carriers and assign them, including providing load tenders.
- Communicate freight status and resolve issues with customers and other stations, updating the system accordingly.
- Enter shipment data into the transportation management system.
- Quote, cost, and invoice international shipments (air, ocean, ground).
- Route domestic air and ground shipments, including Canada.
- Negotiate freight rates and develop collaborative carrier relationships.
- Create and implement new logistics and freight opportunities, designing carrier solutions for pilot offices and external customers.
- Proficient Excel skills.
- Typing speed of 35+ words per minute.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail in a demanding, high‑volume environment.
- Multi‑tasking ability while maintaining precision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and general tech savviness.
