Position Purpose
:
The Traffic Control Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining traffic control operations on road and highway heavy construction projects. Responsibilities include overseeing traffic control operations, lane and road closures, setting signs and devices, and operating equipment to keep work sites safe.

• Currently Certified as a Traffic Control Supervisor through CCA or ATSSA and maintain certification.
• Perform traffic control and flagging activities, including placing signs, barricades and traffic cones, and safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements.
• Operate pickups and flatbed trucks (no CDL required) and hand tools, perform routine equipment maintenance and daily inspections.
• Supervise flaggers and ensure company standards are complied with.
• Complete daily logs (vehicle, time, project, etc.) timely and accurately.
• Maintain a clean job site by collecting tools and securing the area to eliminate hazards.
• Handle material handling, storage, loading and unloading of trucks.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

• Proven ability within the Traffic Control Industry.
• Understanding of correct use of equipment, materials and supplies used in traffic operations for heavy/highway construction.
• Working knowledge of CDOT M&S Standards and Part 6 of the M.U.T.C.D.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (must be insurable through company insurance).
• DOT Medical card required when hired.
• Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2).
