Job Summary
Ramp Supervisors at Southwest Airlines manage Ramp Agents and ensure aircraft arrive and depart on schedule. They guide the team, enforce safety rules, and keep equipment ready for use. Supervisors handle scheduling, training, daily reports, coordination with other airport operations teams, and problem resolution to support safe, efficient, on‑time service.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with all departments to maintain the station’s on‑time performance, employee morale, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and guide ground support performance to ensure requirements are met.
- Ensure all equipment, including GSE, is maintained and available for operation.
- Oversee day‑to‑day airport operations to create a safe, secure, and legally compliant environment; meet or exceed performance goals by effective decision‑making and assign gate control for flights.
- Assign and track agents for training compliance.
- Maintain a safe working environment and implement programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
- Report status updates to leaders and employees consistently.
- Forecast operational situations, monitor key metrics, and hold responsible parties accountable; review and ensure accurate delay coding.
- Collaborate with staff planning to build shift bids aligned with departmental hourly goals.
- Perform daily administrative duties such as building and closing shift bids, assigning daily work, payroll, and attendance reports; monitor staff levels and verify overtime use.
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship available.
- Current resident of the State of Colorado for external applicants.
- No interview for the Supervisor Ramp position at DEN within the last 12 months.
Pay: $36.00 to $37.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for overtime and shift premiums. Leadership and individual contributor roles may receive additional bonus opportunities.
