Purpose of Job
Warehouse Supervisor provides guidance and direction for inventory movement in Distributorship’s warehouses to include loading/unloading trucks.
Job Components- Supervises overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff.
- Ensures continuous process improvement.
- Coordinates physical inventory process and cycle counts.
- Processes inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments.
- Operates forklifts and trains Warehouse Workers on safety of goods and efficient use of equipment.
- Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/accounting relationships.
- Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Working knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methods.
- Understanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations.
- Strong computer skills.
- Keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
Responsible for inventory valued at $500,000 - $3.0 million. Process flow of 1.0 – 13.0 million pieces shipped per year out of the warehouse.
Work EnvironmentRegularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 70+ lbs. Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
Salary Requirements$20 - $26 per hour.
