Operations Coordinator

Branch Operations Coordinator - Fort Collins, CO – Nonexempt / Hourly – Reports to Divisional Operations Manager.

Salary Range: $27.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Position Summary The Branch Operations Coordinator supports efficient daily branch operations at Fort Collins, coordinating customer service, shipping & receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, facility presentation, and overall branch workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Provide professional, responsive service to customers.
  • Communicate timely and accurately about orders, product availability, and service needs.
  • Resolve routine customer questions or concerns; escalation when necessary.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, drivers, employees, and business contacts.
  • Support a clean, organized, and professional branch environment.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving to support accurate, efficient order fulfillment.
  • Pick, stage, inspect, receive, load, unload, and document materials per procedures.
  • Verify inbound shipments for accuracy and enter into company systems.
  • Ensure outbound orders are prepared, staged, and loaded for pickup or delivery.
  • Coordinate with transportation, logistics, warehouse, yard, and other departments.
  • Safely load and unload trucks manually, by forklift, or other material‑handling equipment.

Branch Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate daily workflow, operational priorities, and order fulfillment needs with the Divisional Operations Manager.
  • Monitor branch processes and communicate issues related to customer service, shipping, receiving, inventory, facility needs, equipment, or safety.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient handling of orders – picking, staging, loading, receiving, and documentation.
  • Identify routine operational issues and elevate employee relations, performance, scheduling, safety, or policy concerns.
  • Support facility and equipment maintenance by identifying and reporting needs.
  • Reinforce safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe equipment practices.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders regarding branch operational needs.
  • Represent the company professionally within the community and at customer or industry events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • Three years of hands‑on experience in warehouse, yard, branch, operations, customer service, or building materials.
  • Strong customer service skills and professional communication ability.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, showroom, yard, and branch operations.
  • Capacity to coordinate daily workflow, prioritize operational needs, monitor process accuracy, and appropriately address concerns.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, inventory systems, and other branch‑related software.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety practices and ability to follow and reinforce safety policies.
  • Valid driver’s license that meets company motor vehicle standards if driving required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, move, and stage materials by hand, forklift, or other equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Work is performed in indoor office/warehouse and outdoor yard settings.
  • Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 100 pounds without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material‑handling equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle requiring a valid driver’s license.
