Warehouse Team Member I

Purpose:

The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment (electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts), WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

• High school graduate
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• No experience required; experience in warehouse operations preferred (including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment)
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized

• Interact professionally within the warehouse distributor team
• Interact professionally with all other departments and team members
• Accountable for individual accuracy and commitment to learning from mistakes
• Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude

• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
• Consistent walking or walking during shift
• Repetitive taping of boxes
• Overtime required as deemed necessary
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
• Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals

Salary: $15 – $24 per hour
