Job Summary

This position involves the physical handling of storage boxes, bins, and totes, which range in weight from 24 lbs to over 70 lbs. Employees will frequently kneel, squat, reach, and bend forward throughout their shifts. The role requires moving, arranging, lifting, and loading these items both manually and using hand carts.

Responsibilities
  • Process orders and move boxes containing files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
  • Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Lift and carry boxes weighing between 10-70 lbs regularly without assistance.
  • Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.
  • Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders using the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine box locations.
  • Operate a handheld scanner.
  • Climb and balance on ladders.
  • Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts, and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.
Qualifications
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and varied walking surfaces.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods.
  • Experience with loading, operating, and moving hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.
Work Schedule

Normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

Additional Requirements
  • Protective footwear is required, meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better" or "Best".
