- Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed project estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment required for civil construction projects.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Develop cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overhead.
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals within specified deadlines.
- Work with project managers and operations teams to review project scope and ensure estimate accuracy.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist with value engineering and cost‑saving strategies when appropriate.
- Track and maintain historical cost data for future estimating purposes.
- Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits when required.
