Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction

The Denville Township School District is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction. This position provides district-wide leadership in curriculum, instruction, professional development, and assessment.

Qualifications

* Valid New Jersey School Administrator Certificate (Standard or CE) and Standard Principal Certificate

* Minimum three (3) years of classroom teaching experience and administrative experience

* Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, school improvement, and instructional innovation

* Experience planning and delivering district-level professional development

* Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

* Successful completion of required criminal history background check

Responsibilities

* Provide district-wide leadership and supervision of instructional programs

* Assist the Superintendent in daily district operations and assume responsibility in the Superintendent's absence

* Lead curriculum development, alignment, and implementation across all schools

* Coordinate district professional development and ensure compliance with state-mandated requirements

* Support budget development related to curriculum, instruction, and professional learning

* Supervise and evaluate administrative, supervisory, and instructional staff

* Oversee textbook adoption, instructional materials, and instructional technology integration

* Analyze assessment data to inform instructional decision-making

* Collaborate with Special Services, principals, and staff to support diverse learners

Salary

Starting salary range: $150,000 to $185,000, based on administrative experience. Eligible for Health Benefits and Paid Time Off.
