- The SCTU Registered Nurse renders specialty nursing care to patients being transported from one facility to another.
- Act under physician orders and serve as a patient advocate.
- Adhere to all laws set forth at NJAC 8:41-10.3 which regulates specialty ambulance transportation by the New Jersey Department of Health.
- Provide care to patients ranging from neonatal through geriatric.
Education and Work Experience
- NJ Registered Nurse License.
- Current and valid Healthcare Provider BLS CPR card.
- Current and valid AHA ACLS card.
- Current and valid AHA PALS card or ENPC.
- Valid Driver's License.
- CEVO certification — must obtain within 3 months of hire and renew in 3 year period.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within three months of hire / transfer.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICN) or Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic (MICP).
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) must be obtained for NJ Registered Nurses that have not yet obtained MICN or MICP certification.
- Mobile Intensive Care Nurse training as per NJ 8:41-4:11, with an additional 100 hours of ALS truck orientation time (total 200 hours).
- MICN or MICP within the first year of hire / transfer.
- Undergraduate/Bachelor's Degree preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $41.24 to $52.00.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
