- Delivers safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Provides direct patient care within scope of practice
- Leads and supports patient and family education
- Guides and oversees activities of nursing support staff
- Maintains established standards of care in the Pediatrics Unit
- Accountable for care of assigned patients
- Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians, including:
Cardiac monitoring results, Diagnostic findings, Symptoms and clinical status - Responds promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current NRP (AAP) preferred.
- Previous Acute Care Pediatric hospital experience required
