LPN - Substance Abuse Treatment Facility

Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Morris County Aftercare Center (MCAC) in Denville, NJ. MCAC is a nonprofit addressing the opioid epidemic through compassionate, evidence-based care and has over 36 years of service.

This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary and a work schedule that ends by 12:30pm, leaving afternoons open for personal or professional growth in a family-oriented, not-for-profit environment.

• Dispense methadone safely and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations in an outpatient setting, as instructed by the DON, Assistant DON, and/or Medical Director.
• Monitor clients to ensure medical needs are met and coordinate with all areas of the organization to ensure client safety.
• Identify and prioritize client care needs using client history and nursing assessment.
• Provide direct client care and perform daily medication administration and reconciliation with proper documentation and workflow.
• Document pertinent information in the client’s chart and accurately report observations to appropriate staff.
• Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Active and valid New Jersey LPN license.
• Previous experience as an LPN; prior experience in a substance abuse facility is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
