Overview

Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator oversees QA activities across multiple business units, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality systems. This role serves as the primary on-site QA contact and works closely with production, quality control, engineering, suppliers, and customers to maintain and improve product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain quality plans, procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Manage supplier quality issues and customer complaints, including NCRs, RMAs, and CAPA.
  • Monitor customer portals, quality reports, and administrative complaint processes.
  • Analyze quality metrics and performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Review and approve inspection and quality reports (e.g., FAI, PPAP, 8D, KPIs).
  • Maintain quality documentation within internal quality and management systems.
  • Control nonconforming material, including quarantine and on-hold inventory.
  • Support production and QC with inspections, drawing clarification, and setup verification.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including ISO audits.
  • Oversee calibration activities and verify traceability and documentation.
  • Participate in customer and supplier audits and evaluations.
  • Train employees on quality processes and promote a culture of quality and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and health & safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by QA leadership.
Requirements
  • Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent quality-related education.
  • 3+ years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with FAI, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
